At Simplexam, we believe your time is too valuable to waste on navigating to other parts of the program to start scheduling an appointment. If you are already looking at the calendar, you should be able to add a new appointment from the calendar. Also - learn how to schedule a placeholder or incomplete appointment in the text below. Here’s how:

Simplexam New Claim Intake - From Calendar

1. From the Calendar View click the blue 'Schedule' button. (see figure 1)
2. Fill out the appointment details in the popup modal. (see figure 2)
   
   • If you have all the information to schedule the appointment, click the blue 'Save & Continue' button to proceed to the standard New Claim Intake screens. (Click here for the related article.)
     • Note: If you are only wanting to schedule a placeholder, or if you do not have all the demographic information:
       1. Simply enter an Examiner, a Location, and a Date. No other fields are required, though you may want to add some notes for future reference. (see figure 3) 
          • Some users add a Service Location named 'Unknown' or 'TBD' that they can use to create appointment placeholders. The same logic could be applied to a selected Examiner. The information can always be updated later, sometimes you do not have it on hand.
       2. Click the 'Save' Button. This will create an 'Incomplete' appointment that can be completed ore removed later. 
     • To continue the 'New Claim Intake' process for an 'Incomplete' calendar item:
       1. Click on the grey 'Incomplete' appointment to open the popup modal for you to edit or add more info. (see figure 4) 
       2.  When ready, click the blue 'Save & Continue' button to proceed to the standard New Claim Intake screens. (Click here for the related article.)
